Hyundai SeasAll Appoints New Distributor
Marine diesel engine specialist strengthens presence in the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean Hyundai SeasAll has chosen Fred Bobek doo (also known as Honda Marine Croatia) to handle its range of marine diesel engines on the Croatian market. The company will launch the product at the Zagreb Boat Show, which opens on February 17. Based in Vodice, Fred Bobek is one of Croatia’s leading marine engine distributors with high market penetration and a strong market share supported by an extensive dealer organisation. Fred Bobek, CEO and founder, has committed the company’s considerable resources to building Hyundai SeasAll’s presence both with Croatian boatbuilders and in the repower market. In Turkey, BTM Co will take over the distribution from the former company, Norm. BTM Co is well established in the marine business as a distributor of Baudouin and ABC engines. By taking on the Hyundai SeasAll line, the company expects to expand into the market for recreational propulsion. Serge van der Haegen, owner and general manager, says the company looks forward to representing Hyundai SeasAll and will be exhibiting the engines at the forthcoming Istanbul Boat Show. According to Ted Fagerburg, director of international operations for Hyundai SeasAll, the new appointments strengthen the company’s presence in the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean. Hyundai SeasAll produces diesel engines from 125hp-500hp in 17 basic configurations and is a venture company of Hyundai-Kia Motors. The company’s latest offering is a 2.2 litre common-rail 200hp engine featuring variable geometry turbo charging and a power curve optimised for marine applications. |
