Hyundai SeasAll appoints Norwegian distr

Telemark Trade to look after the range of marine diesel engines

Hyundai SeasAll has appointed Telemark Trade of Skjetten, Norway, to handle its range of marine diesel engines. The announcement completes the Korean company¡¯s European distributor network.

Ted Fagerburg, director of international operations for Hyundai SeasAll, comments: ¡°Norway was our last open point and we now cover the continent. Having both sales and service available across all of Europe is essential and we welcome Telemark Trade to our family of distributors.¡±

Telemark Trade is headed up by Klas Grave. Commenting on the appointment, he says: ¡°When we discovered the Hyundai SeasAll engines, we realized immediately that they would be a perfect fit with our current engine portfolio. Up until now, we have served the market with smaller diesels; now we can expand our offering and extend it into boats requiring sterndrive and jet propulsion as well as higher horsepower classic inboard drive systems.¡±

In addition, Grave notes that the removal of the Norwegian horsepower tax, scheduled to be lifted on July 1, should boost the market for all engines. ¡°A rising tide raises all ships, and our timing with Hyundai SeasAll is fortunate as we will benefit from these improved market conditions.¡± Hyundai SeasAll produces diesel engines from 125hp-500hp in 17 basic configurations. The company is a venture of Hyundai Kia Motors.
